GO AVS

So here is our conversation last friday:
John: we should go to Denver
me: that would be so fun, we will have to schedule a trip.
John: Great! I bought us hockey tickets for tomorrow night.
seriously. I complain but we had the best time.

Here are a couple picture of Hannah in her jammies.

Now that the weather is nice, we have been going outside to play almost every night. Hannah loves to be outside, we bought her a swing to play in the backyard. Her very favorite thing to do outside is to collect stuff, she started doing this at my dads house in his backyard. She would take a bucket and fill it with pine cones and whatever else she could find. We got her a bucket for our house and this is what she does. She will fill it so full that she can't carry it anymore and then dump some out and fill it again.

Zions

We went to Zion national park again over Easter this year. It was such beautiful weather and we had so much fun. Hannah is getting so big and it is amazing to watch her discover new things. Last fall we took her to the beach in Maryland and she hated the sand and the water, while we were down south we took her to Sand Hollow state park and she loved the sand. Its so awesome how kids grow and learn. Anyway, while we were in Zions we went to 4 easter egg hunts. I had been coaching Hannah at home having her pick up eggs that I had hidden throughout the house. When we go to the real thing she totally froze, she picked up one egg and then stood there watching the other kids.

This last picture is of Hannah with Kix stuck to her face, what a goof.

a few more pics...

Hannah is always looking for new ways to carry more things, if she had 3 more hands that would really help her out. One saturday morning she started walking around with her purse on her ankle. She was very proud of herself for figuring this out, now she could carry her stacking cups, her fish net and her purse.

This is Hannah celebrating 2 holidays at once. Did any one else feel like they missed one or the other? I really feel like we missed out on the fun of both holidays because they were so close together, I had bunnys with green hats on and leprechauns with eggs.

More of Hannah's St. Pattys day gear. We were getting ready to go to the parade, I loved this onsie.

This last one is Hannah at the park, she loves to play outside.

After posting the last few posts, I pulled the pictures off my camera. I realized that I had several more posts to go. Hannah went to bed on time tonight and John is watching the NHL playoffs, so I will just see how far I get.
I will start off with John's birthday present. This year John surprised me with a weekend in LA for my birthday. He had seen Wicked last year while he was in Chicago, and wanted to take me to see it. He booked the trip and arranged for babysitters for Hannah and everything. It was so amazing. He is such a thoughtful husband. Every time we go somewhere that has a professional sports team, we try and go to a game. This time we decided to go see the LA Kings play. It was a great game. Seeing the stadiums and the players in such big time arenas always makes me happy. After the game we went and parked the car at the theatre and walked down Hollywood Blvd. We were there the night before the Oscars so they were setting up all the hoopla. We walked down and saw the red carpet and walked through the Kodak Theatre. It was crazy how many people were there and how much set up there is. You don't really get a feel for it all when you watch it on TV. The red carpet is about a block long, weird eh? Anyway, we had dinner and walked back to the theatre to see the play. It was the most AMAZING production I have ever seen. I would recomend it to anyone, the play was my instant favorite, but the theatre and the quality of the production was absolutely amazing. (Dad - sorry for the over use of the word amazing)
We had a great trip, Thank you John, I love you!

This is a picture of John and I on the Santa Monica Pier, I bought a new hat and the guy gave John his hat free, wonder why??

I almost forgot, we stayed at a hotel that was about 20 minutes inland from LA. It was a beautiful hotel that was surrounded by 2 18 hole golf courses, and they had a double decker driving range. I made John go out an hit a bucket of balls with me at 10:00 the first night we were there. This last picture is the view from our balcony, the last morning before we left. It was super foggy, good thing out flight was in the afternoon.

Hannah's Birthday

Hannah turned 1 in february, here are a couple pictures from her party:

Moab

In January we went to Moab with some family. It was so cold, but we wanted to try out the new back pack so we hiked a few of the trails in Arches.

Hannah loved the back pack but the hiking just wore her out.

The Zoo

Here are some pictures from the Zoo. Hannah loves to be outside, she doesn't care about the animals though. This trip she just watched her cousins run, the were the most lively animals there.

too Slow

This is Hannah at her very first Utah game - the Utah vs. UCLA, it was a beautiful day and a great game.

This is Hannah on Halloween as a monkey.
