Hey cuz

Last weekend, after party Friday, Hannah's cousins were in town. She loves to play with her cousins, they all have the same energy level. After Utah Fan fest in the morning we decided to go to the zoo in the afternoon. (told ya) The kids all had a blast riding the carousel and seeing the animals.

After the zoo we went to Nama's and had some dinner and started getting the kids to bed. You would think that after a long day in the sun they would be more tired, but you would be wrong.

More party fridays

I am thinking maybe this friday off is a bad thing. I am too old to deal with 3 weekend days. I think my next firday off I will spend it sleeping. Last friday we picked up Kenzie, bright and early, and had a party day. We went to Build-a-Bear to, well, build a monkey. Hannah loves Kenzies monkey so I finally took her to 'build' her own. She had a great time picking out a sound and giving her monkey a bath. As we were leaving she wouldn't let him go.

After the mall we packed up and went to the zoo, again. (just wait) We went on the carosel this time. It was really fun, the animals are beautiful.

When we got home from the zoo, we went to a party at my dads for Zach and John's birthdays. We love to kick back on the patio at my dads house. Hannah is usually the center of attention and she loves it.

Fat Lip

Last week Hannah fell at daycare and came home with a fat lip. It was kind of sad, but mostly funny. She didn't seem to care or even notice. I gave her a popsicle and snapped a few pictures.

NYC

I am going to do 2 posts about our weekend in New York because I took tons of pictures, and I have two separate things to talk about. We went to NY just for the weekend, we didn’t sleep much because we were trying to see everything. We went to the “Top of the Rock” with our fabulous EC friends Joe and Nelly. They came in from CT to see us and show us some sights. The tour takes you up to the top of the Rockefeller Center in this great elevator with a glass top. You can watch the lights in the elevator shaft as you get closer to the top. When you get to the top you can go outside on the roof and look out at the city. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t have time to wait in line at the Empire State Building. The view from the top is just amazing. We also went to ground zero and saw the construction. It was very humbling to see. We also walked by the fire station that is literally across the street, they have a memorial on the wall that is beautiful. After that we went to Lombardi’s for some NY pizza, is was so good, I had 2 pieces. The night before we left we went to Times Square. It is so amazing, I love love love the city lights. There are also some pictures of us on the subway. We took it everywhere, and I love public transit. Brig and I got pretty good at getting around underground, but we used our map quite a bit. We picked up McKenzie form her camp on Saturday and it was so great to see her again. Hannah and I missed her so much. Hannah and Nama were at the airport when we got in and Hannah wouldn’t go to John because she wanted to stay with Kenzie.

Go Yankees!

Friday night we went to a Yankees game at Yankee Stadium. This is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. My fabulous husband finally gave in to my annoyingly constant begging. It really was one of the best sports experiences of my life. (after the Fiesta Bowl, of course) This almost didn’t happen because at game time there was a hurricane watch for New York city, it was raining like crazy. I was so terrified that the game was going to be rained out. We got great Yankees ponchos though, I had to take a picture of Brig wearing a Yankees poncho. He kept saying it was burning his skin. The rain cleared up and the game started about an hour and a half late. Joe and Nelly came with us to the game, and we had such a great time. I can’t believe how amazing the old stadium is, and how great their food is. You can get ice cream in a Yankees helmet, and Johns favorite, fries covered in cheese. Thanks to Joe and Nelly for coming into the city. I love you guys! We can’t wait to come back and see Kato!

Bike ride

My mom invited us to go to the beautiful Jordan River Parkway and ride our bikes last weekend. We got up early Saturday morning and Hannah was so excited to ride bikes. She cried when we put the bikes on the car, she wanted to get in and ride right then. She wore her bike helmet the whole way there in the car. When we got there she was also excited to see the ducks. We got on our bikes and rode along the trail, it was very pretty.

After we went home and rested for a minute, we went to my dad’s house for a pool day. Hannah loves the pool, she is just tall enough to walk in their pool by herself. She also loves to hang out with her grandpa. She usually keeps him running with her orders. He has introduced her to candy and she is a fan. Grandpa had the slide up and she went down a couple times. I thought it would scare her but it didn’t. She would fly down and hit the end and laugh. Meg and Lance came over that night and she wanted to go down the slide again. It was getting pretty cold but she went down anyway. She loved to sit and play in the water at the bottom, after a few seconds though she would start to shiver.

FOUR 10's

The week that I started workingfour 10's I decided on Friday to take Hannah to the Zoo. I was excited to take her to the zoo because she has recently started loving to watch animals. We watch Animal Planet a lot at home. I was also excited to sleep in a little bit on friday, because Hannah and I were staying home. Unfortunately she took this oppurtunity to wake up at 6:00 in the morning. This didn't help her mood or my mood for the rest of a busy day. We left the house about 11:00 and it was pouring rain. I was excited because I love going to the zoo when it rains. It stopped raining about 30 minutes after we got there, so it was great. Every animal we walked up to Hannah would yell out the name of the animal. She knows mostly all of them. We walked up to the tiger and he was pacing his habitat, Hannah yelled out "Tigger". I think she was watching for him to start bouncing on his tail. We had a blast at the zoo, I am sure we will be going again on our fridays off.
